I'm glad to finally try Deru! We came for weekend brunch (brave, I know haha) and joined the waitlist on our way there. Upon arrival, we were told that the wait for inside is 2 hrs, while it was 30 mins for outside seating. We asked to be seated outside to shorten our wait time. After 30 mins they had a table for us and we were luckily placed at the bar (inside). We ordered a side of Farm Salad, Fries, Apple & Arugula Pizza, and a slice of Salted Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake. I would say that everything we had, except maybe for the cake, tasted fresh and made us feel like we were eating something nourishing for our bodies. My partner loved the pizza and thought it would be great for spring or summer as it was refreshing. I love their pizza dough and I would like to try a savory pizza the next time we visit. The fries and the side of farm salad are both delicious and generously-portioned. We are not big fans of peanut butter but we tried their famous Salted Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake anyway. It was good but I wouldn't say it's a strong dish for me. It was dense and was just too heavy. I also wish they incorporated a different texture - like something crunchy. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience and we would come back to try more dishes.

Deru is one of my favorites! It's such a cute organic feeling lunch or dinner spot. If I'm doing takeout the Apple Arugula pizza with garlic knots and a slice of cake is my go to. Dining in, I can't go without the sweet potato fries with hummus. I also recently tried the Vegetable Sandwich and cannot wait to order it again sooooo yummy!

I've been wanting to try Deru for so long and finally came in for lunch on Sunday morning with friends. We got on the waitlist online around 10 am and our party of 4 was seated outside around 11am. It was a little chilly outside but they had blankets which was nice. They did have heaters but they were broken unfortunately. Our food was delicious! Our entire table was in love with their food. The coffee was good too and came in a big bowl of a mug which was fun. We also got cakes to go which were massive and so good. I'm already looking forward to coming back to Deru soon! The service was a bit slow but they did seem extremely busy. It's a very popular spot!

We headed to Deru for brunch/lunch with a couple friends on Sunday at 11am. One of our friends had hopped on the online waiting list around 10am, and when we arrived they were able to seat us outside within 5 minutes. The inside was packed! When we left, there were group standing all over the parking lot waiting for tables. My fiancé and I have been to Deru before, but only ever to get carry-out of the cake. We've been meaning to try the food for ages now, and we were not disappointed. After trying to decide for way too long, we all settled on sandwiches. I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich and my fiancé ordered the roasted vegetables sandwich. They were both absolutely delicious! We loved that they were served on focaccia, and the fixings were piled on. We also ordered a slice of the salted peanut butter chocolate cake to enjoy after our trail run! One thing to note, Deru's ordering system is usually through mobile orders even when you're dining in. However, when we were seated the hostess mentioned they also had a server waiting on tables today. Our server was very friendly, but it was hard to track him down to order as it seemed like he was responsible for a large number of tables. It wasn't an issue for us, as we weren't in any sort of rush, however it would be good to be prepared to wait for service if you're going to order through the server. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely return to try some other menu items!

We went for brunch on a cold Saturday morning. They have limited seating and also have their patio open during the winter time. Although dog friendly, the space is sort of tight for a dog to sit with people passing by. We absolutely enjoyed our meal. What we ordered: Cappuccino Latte Poached pear brioche - loved it!! Just the right amount of warming spices and sweetness. My favorite. Rosemary cream pizza - half with no bacon (for me) - it was delicious! I've never had potato on my pizza. The flavors are delicate with a slight natural sweetness. Winner! Farm scrambled eggs with veggies - great option to share between 2-3 people. Comes with roasted seasonal veggies. We packed the blueberry brioche and a salted peanut buttercream chocolate cake slice to go. The cake slice is bigg! If you order there you can definitely share between 3-4 ppl. It was good and heavy. I might order the other chocolate option the next time, because I found peanut butter flavor overpowering the chocolate for me. The blueberry brioche bun was spot on, just like the poached pear one. We loved everything we ate and the service was great. They provide blankets for anyone who's feeling cold outside.

Wow! The food here is truly fresh, flavorful and unmatched!! We got the chicken goat cheese sandwich, Rosemary Parmesan fries and the chicken pesto pizza. All were delicious! The focaccia bread is baked to perfection! The sweet onions paired amazingly with the coat cheese and chicken. Love this sandwich! The Rosemary Parmesan fries were ok. They were too crispy and not a lot of potato in it so wasn't really enjoyable. The dip was nice though! The pesto chicken pizza was equally as delicious! Should have asked for some re pepper flakes or spice since it couldn't used a little heat to it. But that's just personal preference. Parking was a challenge here- not very pant spots and street parking was also full. Make sure you get on the waitlist online! Limited seating inside and it gets pretty cold inside too. Will definitely be back here!

This place had been on my list for ages, and I finally decided to give it a try. BEWARE, the wait times on weekends are brutal, so be prepared to wait at least an hour to an hour and a half before you're seated. They do have a virtual waitlist, which is really convenient--you can add your name up to an hour before you plan to go. They'll hold your table for 5 minutes after they text you, and if you don't confirm within that time, you'll be removed from the list. If you reply to the text, they'll hold it for 10 minutes, and you can let them know your ETA. We ordered the Roasted Beef Sandwich and the Roasted Chicken Sandwich with Soup (half sandwich, half soup). Both sandwiches were amazing! The meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly complemented the bread, which was soft and tasty as well. The soup of the day was a butternut squash soup, and it was incredible! The meal was very filling and kept us satisfied for a long time. I'm so glad we tried this place and will definitely return. You can place orders and pay either online or with the server. We had a smooth experience with the app--super quick, and we were in and out in 20 minutes. A great perk is you don't have to wait for someone to take your order or bring the bill, so it was really fast and efficient. We also ordered a to-go chocolate cake, and I can't wait to try it!

I've taken 3 different sets of people here because I love the portion and pricing. Each time I also get us on a cake lol and it's usually delicious. This time however we got the salted pb chocolate and it was so disappointing, the worst one i've had so far unfortunately. my ranking 1. carrot cake 2. the cinnamon roll (not a cake but fantastic dessert) 3. pumpkin cream cheese .. .. probably anything else 4. this salted pb service was so nice so I didn't want to say anything but it was very sad and awk after I hyped this place up so much to my friend who's in town lol

Came for lunch on a Saturday with girlfriends. Place was pretty busy. The parking lot is chaotic because it's small and you get stuck there if people are in the drive thru. Best to park a little further and walk. Service is friendly. They even have blankets outside where we had a table. Their farm salad is delicious. I loved the dressing and everything about it. I also ordered a fried chicken sandwich and it was yummy. The bun seems like even that is made in house. The chicken was a bit overcooked but still tasted good. Deru market is famous for their giant cakes. But their coconut cake was disappointing. It was dry, lacked coconut flavor and the frosting was overly sweet. The slices are big enough to feed 4 people which explains the price tag of $14. Personally I would have liked a smaller but tastier piece. Took a slice of carrot cake home. My husband enjoyed eating it for 3 days haha!
